Global Effort to Understand Microbiome

"We now have the Canadian Microbiome Initiative which coordinates and supports research here in Canada. Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Europe, France, and Ireland all have projects under way as well.

The work to unravel the mysteries in the microbiome requires an international effort. There is too much to explore and too much to test. We do not even know if all humans share a basic "starter kit" of microbes, or how we differ by location, race, age, personality type, or something else."
